Luxury Camel Safari, then Chill Out!

In partnership with our good friends and neighbours Kerry Glen and James Christian of Karisia, famed camel trekkers of the Northern deserts and mountains of Kenya, we are proud to offer the adventure of a lifetime (5 nights) followed by the ultimate in luxury relaxation (3 or 5 nights). August 24th Take the dramatic and beautiful flight to the remote Kitich Camp in time for lunch. Walk in the virgin forest. Overnight.

August 25th The trek begins. Descend through the forest, camels bearing your luggage, until you reach camp by a stream, under Newtonia trees, at lunchtime.

August 26th Continue the forested mountain descent using dry river beds (laghas in Swahili), observing the dramatic plant and bird life. Reach camp II at the Ngeng lagha for lunch.

August 27th Trek the length of the Ngeng lagha with its water-sculpted forms until once more reaching camp III for lunch.

August 28th An ascent then a descent into the great Seya lagha, looking for gerenuk, elephant, and the endangered Grevy's zebra. Camp IV, and a toast to the Northern Frontier.

August 29th Early morning walk out of the Seya to a waiting vehicle. Drive back to the airstrip, and either take a flight to Nanyuki (and 90 minute road transfer to The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille) or take a direct flight. Settle in to Your Own Place in the African Wilderness. Meet your personal Butler, Valet and Guide. Enjoy a swim and a massage to ease any aching limbs. Gourmet dinner served.

August 30th until you leave (either September 1st or 3rd) Chill out. Swim, read, sleep, chat, go to the Spa, enjoy great food and wines. Or continue your adventure with quad or mountain biking and horseriding. Explore our private 6500 acre Conservancy. While away the time playing croquet and boules. Use our GPS telescope to surf the heavens, or (if you must) surf the net to catch up on home and world events using our broadband capability.
